For the purpose of administering the website content, three levels of privileged access were available in the Frontpage website through the use of usernames and passwords:

  • Level 1 – typically used by Team Managers to update information related to their specific team such as match results, match reports and games played by players;
  • Level 2 – all the access of Level 1 plus the ability to update features such as front page stories, fixtures and members details; and
  • Level 3 – administrator; access all areas. 

The current Joomla! website provides a highly customisable Access Control List (ACL) that allows administrators to create users and groups with varying degrees of access and privileges on the website.

The Club wishes to have multiple, authorised individuals proving content for the website. Administrators require the ability to control who has access to what content., for example, the Under 16 Team Manager should be able to provide content on the Under 16 section of the website but not the Under 13 section of the website.
